We are often asked about dogs that don't mind their harness once it is on but are not keen on it going over their head. Instead of chasing or cornering your dog, you can try this. Hold the harness in one hand and a treat in the other. Lure your dog's head with the treat while keeping the harness still and at a level, she can easily put her head through. Let your dog choose to put her head into the harness to get the treat. Practice this a few times daily, preferably, in the location where you would normally put the harness on for a walk.
